据报道，美国今年对泰国的塑料垃圾出口猛增近2000%，达到91505吨。美国对马来西亚的出口增长273%，达到157299吨，而对越南的出口增长46%，达到71220吨。同期，对土耳其与韩国的出口量也与日俱增。
Reported,Us plastic waste exports to Thailand have surged nearly 2000% this year to 9505 tonnes, according to reports.U.S. exports to Malaysia rose 273% to 157299 tons, while exports to Vietnam rose 46% to 71220 tons.Exports to Turkey and South Korea have also increased over the same period.
据《金融时报》10月14日报道，泰国计划于2021年正式停止进口所有种类的外国塑料垃圾。泰国政府官员向《金融时报》表示，洋垃圾禁令的意向最初于今年6月对外宣布，如今泰方确定了计划的具体细节，预计需要两年时间落实政策。同月，马来西亚取消了114家工厂进口废塑料的许可证，近日船公司APL发布公告称，APL将不会接受从美国、加拿大到中国大陆、马来西亚、台湾、泰国和越南的塑料废料运输，即时生效。
Thailand plans to officially stop importing all types of foreign plastic waste by 2021, the 《financial times》 reported on oct 14.Thai government officials told the financial times that the intention to ban foreign waste was first announced in June, and now the government has set out the details of the plan, which is expected to take two years to implement.In the same month, Malaysia cancelled permits for the import of waste plastics from 114 factories, and shipping company APL announced that APL would not accept shipments of plastic waste from the United States and Canada to China, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, with immediate effect.
